The Flood Warning continues for
The Vermilion River at Pontiac.
* until Thursday evening.
* At 945 PM Wednesday the stage was 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and will continue.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 15.5 feet by
early Thursday. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday
afternoon.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Floodwaters approach some low lying homes
upstream of Mill Street in Pontiac. Portion of Rt 116 floods in
rural areas east and west of town.

A short period of drizzle or freezing drizzle is possible across
the area late tonight into early Thursday morning. This could
result in a light glaze of ice, especially on elevated, colder
surfaces. There is also the potential for some icy spots on area
roads, so plan for slick driving conditions late tonight and early
Thursday morning.

Temperatures will rise above freezing by mid Thursday morning
ending the threat.
