...A CHANCE OF SLIPPERY CONDITIONS SETTING UP FOR FRIDAY EVENING
INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS...

AREAS OF FREEZING RAIN ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY EVENING ACROSS MUCH OF
CENTRAL ILLINOIS. THE CHANCES OF FREEZING RAIN WILL LINGER FROM
I-74 NORTHWARD INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. ANY ICE AMOUNTS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT BUT IT ONLY TAKES A VERY SMALL ACCUMULATION
TO PRODUCE SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ON UNTREATED ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS.

AN AREA OF LIGHT PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE REGION
FRIDAY EVENING. TEMPERATURES ARE FORECASTED TO BE AROUND OR
SLIGHTLY BELOW FREEZING FROM INTERSTATE 70 NORTHWARD AS THE PATCHY
RAIN BEGINS...LEADING TO AREAS OF FREEZING RAIN. THE TEMPERATURE
SHOULD CLIMB THROUGH THE NIGHT CHANGING ANY FREEZING RAIN TO RAIN
SOUTH OF I-74 DURING THE LATE EVENING AND IN THE EARLY MORNING
HOURS FURTHER NORTH.

IF YOU WILL OUT DRIVING OR WALKING FRIDAY EVENING BE PREPARED FOR
THE POTENTIAL OF SLICK SPOTS.
