Idaho, Big and Little Wood River Region, Lost
River/Pahsimeroi, and Sawtooth Mountains. In eastern Idaho,
Upper Snake Highlands. In south central Idaho, Eastern Magic

continuing through Friday.

* Water was beginning to flow over the Magic Dam spillway with
downstream flows on the Big Wood River across Lincoln County
expected to reach upwards of 5000 CFS around midnight tonight.
At 5300 CFS, floodwaters will spread downstream from the
reservoir along the Big Wood River reaching within one foot of
Highway 75. The flooding is expected to be similar to the event
that occurred in 2006.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

Individuals living near the Big Wood River downstream of the Magic
Dam should be alert to possible flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
