THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL IOWA AND
SOUTHEAST IOWA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN EAST
CENTRAL IOWA...BENTON...IOWA AND JOHNSON. IN SOUTHEAST IOWA...
KEOKUK AND WASHINGTON.

* UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE OVER THE SAME AREA OF EAST CENTRAL IOWA...ESPECIALLY ALONG
AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 THROUGH 8 AM. THIS MAY RESULT IN
RAINFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES.

* HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLOODING ALONG SMALL CREEKS AND
URBAN DRAINAGE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
MONITOR FORECASTS AND TAKE ACTION IF FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE
ISSUED OR FLASH FLOODING DEVELOPS.
