...AVALANCHE WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THE STEAMBOAT AND FLAT TOPS,
ASPEN, GUNNISON, GRAND MESA, SOUTHERN SAN JUAN AND NORTHERN SAN JUAN
ZONES...

A SERIES OF STORMS HAS BROUGHT SUSTAINED SNOWFALL AND POWERFUL WINDS
TO COLORADO'S WESTERN MOUNTAINS. MORE SNOW AND WIND ARE IN THE
FORECAST FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT. WIDESPREAD NATURAL AND TRIGGERED
AVALANCHES HAVE OCCURRED AND REMAIN LIKELY TODAY ON AND BELOW ALL
STEEP SLOPES. BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST
WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATION...THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A SECOND PACIFIC WEATHER DISTURBANCE WILL
CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SNOW OVER THE MOUNTAINS ALONG THE
CONTINENTAL DIVIDE THROUGH TONIGHT.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION...ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL TONIGHT OF 2 TO 6 INCHES
ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN AND 1 TO 3 INCHES ACROSS THE HIGH
MOUNTAIN VALLEYS. THIS WILL BRING STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL TO
BETWEEN 18 TO 42 INCHES.

* WIND...GUSTY WEST TO NORTHWEST AT 15 TO 35 MPH.

* IMPACT...TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS DUE TO HEAVY...BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW...POOR VISIBILITIES AND ICY...SNOW COVERED
ROADS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

WINTER STORMS MAY HAVE STRONG WINDS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO
HEAVY SNOWFALL AND BLOWING SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF OVER
8 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS MAY OCCUR. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO
TRAVEL IN THE WATCH AREA DURING THE TIME OF THE WATCH...LISTEN TO
THE LATEST WEATHER FORECAST AND CONSIDER TRAVELING AT ANOTHER
