The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 9 PM PST this evening.

* WINDS...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph through
this evening.

* TEMPERATURE...Low temperatures between 29 and 32 degrees are
expected tonight through Tuesday morning. A repeat of this
scenario will occur Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles. Sub-freezing temperatures can kill
crops and sensitive vegetation, and harm outdoor pets and
livestock. Extended exposure to cold can cause hypothermia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.

A Freeze Warning means temperatures 29 and 32 for two or more
consecutive hours are imminent. Protective measures to save crops
and sensitive vegetation should be taken. Vulnerable animals and
pets should be kept indoors in a house or barn.

* TEMPERATURE...Low temperatures between 29 and 32 degrees are
expected across the coastal valleys tonight through Tuesday
morning except between 24 and 28 degrees possible in the Ojai
Valley. A repeat of this scenario will occur Tuesday night
into Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...A hard freeze can burst exposed pipes and kill crops
or sensitive vegetation. Extended exposure to cold can cause
hypothermia, including outdoor pets and livestock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Hard Freeze Warning means temperatures of 28 degrees or less
for two or more consecutive hours are imminent. Protective
measures to save crops and sensitive vegetation should be
taken.vulnerable animals and pets should be kept indoors in a
house or barn. Exposed pipes should be wrapped to keep them from
bursting.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM PST
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...SNOW...2 to 4 inches expected. Snow levels will range
between 1500 and 2500 feet through tonight. Areas of northwest
to north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph are expected,
with isolated higher gusts. Dangerous wind chill readings will
be between 10 degrees and -10 degrees in higher elevations late
tonight and Monday.

* WHERE...Ventura County Mountains and Los Angeles County
Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range Counties.

* WHEN...through 3 AM PST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times. The strongest winds will be through the I-5 corridor.
The highest snowfall amounts will occur on the north facing
slopes. There is the potential for 1 to 2 inches of snow on
Interstate 5 near the Grapevine. Delays or closures on
Interstate 5 are possible Monday into Monday night due to
accumulating snow, icy road conditions, and strong winds.
Other low elevation roadways will be at risk for snow showers
and icy road conditions as well. These include Highways 2, 14,
33, and 39.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
