...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...
At 256 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Willows and Blue Gum, moving northeast at 20 mph, towards Ordbend,
Glenn, Codora and Afton.
Half inch hail and gusty thunderstorm winds in excess of 30 mph will
be possible with this storm. Brief funnel clouds may also occur
with this storm.
Another cluster of storms will affect Tehama County from Paskenta to
REd Bluff and Los Molinos through 4 pm. Small hail, lightning and
brief downpours are expected.
Other locations impacted include... Corning, Elk Creek, Tehama,
Dairyville, Dayton, Henleyville, Artois, Fruto, Butte City and
Beware of ponding of water on roadways. Do not drive your vehicle
through flooded roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Additional amounts of 2 to 5 inches above
4500 feet with 8 to 12 inches over the peaks.
