...AVALANCHE WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THE STEAMBOAT AND FLAT TOPS,
ASPEN, GUNNISON, GRAND MESA, SOUTHERN SAN JUAN AND NORTHERN SAN JUAN
ZONES...

A SERIES OF STORMS HAS BROUGHT SUSTAINED SNOWFALL AND POWERFUL WINDS
TO COLORADO'S WESTERN MOUNTAINS. MORE SNOW AND WIND ARE IN THE
FORECAST FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT. WIDESPREAD NATURAL AND TRIGGERED
AVALANCHES HAVE OCCURRED AND REMAIN LIKELY TODAY ON AND BELOW ALL
STEEP SLOPES. BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES OVERNIGHT...BRINGING
STORM TOTALS INTO THE 15 TO 30 INCH RANGE.

* WIND/VISIBILITY...WEST WINDS 15 TO 30 MPH BECOMING NORTHWEST 10
TO 20 MPH OVERNIGHT. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN
ONE QUARTER MILE DURING PERIODS OF HEAVY FALLING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS AND DIFFICULT WITH SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES. SOME SECONDARY ROADS
MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE DUE TO THE DEPTH OF ACCUMULATED OR
DRIFTED SNOW.
