THE COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKDT TODAY.

* WAVES AND SURF...SEAS OF 10 TO 12 FEET BREAKING OFFSHORE AND
FORCING WATER ASHORE.

* WINDS...WEST WINDS GUSTING AROUND 35 MPH TURNING SOUTHWEST BY
NOON. WINDS GRADUALLY DIMINISHING.

* TIMING...THE STORM SURGE PEAKED THURSDAY EVENING AND WILL
CONTINUE TO GRADUALLY DIMINISH.

* LOCATION...BARROW.

* IMPACTS...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS OCCURRING. MOST ROADS NEAR
THE SHORE ARE CLOSED. BERMS NEAR THE COAST ARE BEING REBUILT
DUE TO THE STORM SURGE. WATER IS BEING PUSHED UP TO THE TOP OF
THE BEACH AND CAUSING BEACH EROSION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT RISING SEA WATER THAT CAUSES
FLOODING IS EXPECTED. COASTAL RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD
BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER...AND TAKE ACTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND
PROPERTY.

MPH SATURDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH NOON SUNDAY BEFORE
BEGINNING TO DIMINISH.

* WAVES AND SURF...SEAS 7 TO 9 FEET BREAKING OFFSHORE. A STORM
SURGE OF ABOUT 1 FOOT IS EXPECTED.

* TIMING...HIGH SURF CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SATURDAY
