FLOOD WARNING, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM TUESDAY TO NOON AKST
WEDNESDAY.

* LOCATION...EASTERN NORTON SOUND COAST INCLUDING NORTON BAY.

* COASTAL FLOODING...STORM SURGE 6 TO 9 FEET ABOVE THE NORMAL
HIGH TIDE LINE.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE TUESDAY MORNING WITH STORM SURGE
PUSHING ONSHORE IN THE AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...MAJOR EROSION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM ALONG THE
COAST. WATER LEVELS AROUND UNALAKLEET WILL BE HIGHER THAN THE
LAST STORM AND LOW LYING AREAS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME INUNDATED.
AREAS TO THE EAST OF THE RUNWAY AREA EXPECTED TO FLOOD, ALSO LOW
AREAS AROUND THE ALASKA COMMERCIAL STORE MAY FLOOD. IN NORTON
BAY THE ICE MAY BREAK UP AND BE PUSHED ASHORE. RESIDENTS SHOULD
PREPARE BY MOVING VALUABLES WELL ABOVE THE NORMAL HIGH TIDE
LINE.

* IMPACTS...MAJOR EROSION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM ALONG THE
COAST. IN GOLOVIN WATERS WILL RISE AND THE OLD RUNWAY WILL
BECOME INUNDATED. WATER IS EXPECTED TO RISE HIGH ENOUGH TO
IMPACT ALL AREAS NORTHWEST OF THE POST OFFICE, INCLUDING THE
SCHOOL. RESIDENTS SHOULD PREPARE BY MOVING VALUABLES WELL
ABOVE THE NORMAL HIGH TIDE LINE.
