* WIDESPREAD ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF AROUND HALF AN INCH IS
EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL ARKANSAS THROUGH THIS EVENING AS A COLD
FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE STATE. HOWEVER...THUNDERSTORMS MAY YIELD
LOCALIZED RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 1 INCH. ANY RAIN THAT
FALLS WILL IMMEDIATELY BECOME RUNOFF AND COULD LEAD TO FLASH
FLOODING.

* IN ADDITION...AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE ALREADY FLOODING OR
NEAR BANK FULL. ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
DRAIN INTO WATERWAYS...INCREASING THE THREAT FOR FLASH
FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD

* At 6:00 AM Saturday the stage was 84.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 79.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 85.5 feet by
Saturday morning.
* Impact...at 85.0 feet...There may be some County roads along the
river flooded, requiring lengthy detours. River is high and swift,
boaters should be very cautious. Access to many oil and gas rigs
will be by boat only. Levee gates should be closed.

* At 7:30 AM Saturday the stage was 31.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 33.0 feet by
Wednesday morning.
* Impact...at 34.0 feet...Overbank flooding closes many roads. Harmony
Grove community has flood problems at this stage. Many low lying
roads are flooding with access to some residential areas by boat
only.
