...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northwest Wyoming and west central Wyoming,
including the following areas, in northwest Wyoming, Jackson
Hole. In west central Wyoming, Upper Green River Basin and
Upper Green River Basin Foothills.

* Through early afternoon

* Rapid snowmelt runoff over low elevations due to rain on a
melting snowpack.

* Flooding of smaller streams, culverts,and other low lying areas
will remain a distinct possibility into this afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

People living in flood prone areas across the western valleys and
across the Upper Green Basin should begin preparing for rising
water across low lying areas such as drainage ditches, bridges,
and basements. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert
for possible Flood Warnings.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT
TONIGHT...

* TIMING...Higher elevation snow, moderate to heavy at times, will
drop to around 6500 feet this morning.

* Snow Accumulations...total event accumulations of 6 to 12
inches, with the highest amounts generally above 8000 feet.

* MAIN IMPACT...Travel may become very difficult across South
Pass due to periods of heavy snow producing slick, slushy and
snow- packed roads. Outdoor recreation in the back country may
also be very hazardous with poor visibility and heavy
snowfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter weather advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
and slick roads with limited visibilities. Slow down, and allow
extra time to reach your destination. Check the latest road

* MAIN IMPACT...Roads, including highways 287 and 789, will be
slick or slushy at times with limited visibility in snow.
