The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River At Point Pleasant.
* AT 7:00 PM Thursday the stage WAS 42.4 feet.
* Minor Flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
* Forecast...the River will continue rising to near 43.6 feet by Friday morning.
The river will fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
* At stages near 43.5 feet...Route 33 at West Creek and Brinker Run between
Vanadium and Letart is flooded. Sand Hill Road near Letart is flooded.
* A crest near 43.6 feet compares to a previous crest of 43.6 feet on March 15
2010.

OUTSIDE OF THE FLOODING ALONG THE LARGER RIVERS...FLOOD WATERS
ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA HAVE RECEDED. HOWEVER...SECONDARY ROADS
REMAIN CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER AT SOME LOCATIONS.

ANY REMAINING HIGH WATER SHOULD CONTINUE TO RECEDE OVERNIGHT.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY. BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL DRIVING AT NIGHT AS YOU MAY
NOT BE ABLE TO SEE THE WATER ON THE ROADWAY.

THE VILLAGE OF POMEROY IN MEIGS COUNTY OHIO...

ACCORDING TO THE POMEROY POLICE...THE OHIO RIVER LEVEL AT POMEROY
WAS 43.0 FEET AT 10 PM.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EXPECTS THE RIVER TO RISE ANOTHER FOOT
AND SHOULD CREST NEAR 43.5 FEET FRIDAY...WITH A BROAD CREST. THIS
CREST IS AROUND 2 FEET BELOW THE 46 FOOT FLOOD STAGE AT POMEROY.
