...WINTRY MIX AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARRIVING QUICKLY...

AN AREA OF RAIN OUT ACROSS MINNESOTA AND IOWA WILL PUSH INTO THE
AREA QUICKLY THIS MORNING. THE RAIN WILL CROSS THE MISSISSIPPI
RIVER BY AROUND 6 AM...REACHING MADISON BETWEEN 8 AND 9 AM AND
EVENTUALLY THE MILWAUKEE METRO AREA BY 10 TO 11 AM. THIS FIRST
ROUND OF PRECIPITATION WILL LAST ABOUT 2 TO 3 HOURS...FOLLOWED BY
A LULL IN THE ACTIVITY...WITH MORE SHOWERS EXPECTED THIS
AFTERNOON.

TEMPERATURES EARLY THIS MORNING WILL BE HOVERING NEAR FREEZING IN
SOME SPOTS AND PAVEMENT TEMPERATURES ARE GENERALLY BELOW FREEZING
AS WELL. THIS COULD LEAD TO A SHORT PERIOD OF ICY ROADS AND
SIDEWALKS BEFORE TEMPERATURES RISE QUICKLY THROUGH MID MORNING.

IF YOU/RE HEADED OUT EARLY THIS MORNING...BE PREPARED FOR THE
POTENTIAL OF ICY CONDITIONS.

THOSE WARMING TEMPERATURES WILL BE HELPED ALONG BY A VERY STRONG
SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WIND THAT WILL DEVELOP VERY QUICKLY THIS
MORNING. EXPECT WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH A FEW GUSTS REACHING 40
MPH AT A FEW LOCATIONS. THE WINDS WILL PEAK FROM MID MORNING
THROUGH MID AFTERNOON...THEN STEADILY DIMINISH INTO THE EVENING
AND OVERNIGHT HOURS.

HANG IN THERE...DRIER AND MILDER WEATHER RETURNS THIS WEEK.
