LOCATION...THE OLYMPICS AND WASHINGTON CASCADES...NOT INCLUDING THE
SNOQUALMIE AND STEVENS PASS AREA

AVALANCHE DANGER...THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS EXPECTED TO BECOME HIGH
IN THESE AREAS WITH A NATURAL AVALANCHE CYCLE LIKELY BEGINNING
TUESDAY EVENING. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED
LATE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

REASON...INCREASING HEAVY RAIN AND SNOW LATE TUESDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY WILL ADD A SIGNIFICANT LOAD TO EXISTING WEAK LAYERS FORMED
DURING THE RECENT COLD WEATHER. RAIN ON SNOW WILL CAUSE A NATURAL
AVALANCHE CYCLE IN MANY AREAS. ALSO...STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL

SLOWED AND IS NOW EXPECTED TO BECOME HIGH IN THESE AREAS WITH VERY
DANGEROUS AVALANCHE CONDITIONS DEVELOPING LATE TUESDAY OR TUESDAY
NIGHT. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TUESDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY AS NATURAL AND HUMAN TRIGGERED
