WET PAVEMENT FOLLOWING MONDAYS RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS COMBINED WITH
TEMPERATURES HOVERING AROUND THE FREEZING MARK THIS MORNING WILL
PRODUCE SOME ICY SPOTS ON UNTREATED WESTERN WASHINGTON ROADWAYS.
THE MOST VULNERABLE LOCATIONS INCLUDE OVERPASSES AND BRIDGES AS
WELL AS OUTLYING LOCATIONS AWAY FROM WATERWAYS LIKE PUGET SOUND
AND THE STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA.
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO WARM ABOVE FREEZING BEFORE NOON
MOTORISTS SHOULD TAKE IT EASY DURING THE COMMUTE THIS MORNING AND
BE PREPARED IF ANY ICY SPOTS ARE ENCOUNTERED.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
10 AM PST WEDNESDAY...
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow, that is in effect from 4 PM this
afternoon to 10 AM PST Wednesday.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...From 6 to 10 inches tonight with storm
accumulations of 10 to 18 inches through Wednesday morning.
* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...U.S. Highway 2 including Stevens Pass,
Interstate 90 including Snoqualmie Pass and U.S. Highway 12
including White Pass.
* TIMING...Snow is expected to begin late today and continue
through Wednesday morning.
* MAIN IMPACT...Expect hazardous winter weather driving
Motorists should be prepared for winter winter driving conditions
including carrying chains or traction devices.
