The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of north Idaho and Washington, including the
following counties, in north Idaho, Bonner and Boundary. In
Washington, Chelan, Ferry, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, and

* Through this evening

* Moderate to locally heavy rainfall and melting snow will lead to
saturated ground conditions with significant channeled runoff.
The heaviest rainfall is expected to fall over Chelan and
western Okanogan Counties.

* Runoff from rain and snow melt will swell streams and channels
leading to localized flooding along small streams and in low
spots and highway culverts. Saturated conditions will make
soil and rocks susceptable to giving way on steep slopes as
mud and rock slides.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
