...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT THIS MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM PDT this morning.
* VISIBILITIES...One quarter mile or less.
* AREAS AFFECTED...Portions of the Interstate 5 corridor, along
with other river valleys. Fog has been especially dense around
downtown Portland and Vancouver, as well as around Albany and
* TIMING...Fog should gradually lift shortly after sunrise.
* IMPACTS...Areas of dense fog will make driving difficult,
especially along the Interstate 5 and Highway 99W and 99E
corridors this morning. It will be difficult to see bicyclists
and pedestrians, especially before sunrise. Visibility may
change rapidly over a short distance or period of time.
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
