THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SOUTH-CENTRAL AND EAST-CENTRAL VERMONT...WHICH
IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM WEDNESDAY TO 7 AM EST THURSDAY. THIS
REPLACES THE WINTER STORM WATCH WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...SOUTH-CENTRAL VERMONT AND EAST-CENTRAL VERMONT.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW.

* MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATE...UP TO 1 INCH PER HOUR...MAINLY
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY EVENING.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION FROM SOUTH TO NORTH
DURING THE MID MORNING THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS ON
WEDNESDAY. PERIODS OF MODERATE TO BRIEFLY HEAVY SNOW ARE
EXPECTED LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY
EVENING. SNOW WILL END TOWARD DAYBREAK ON THANKSGIVING.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE SLOW WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY NIGHT DUE TO SLICK...SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS AND LOW
VISIBILITY IN FALLING SNOW. ALLOW PLENTY OF EXTRA TIME TO
TRAVEL.
