...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM MST
The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the
Winter Weather Advisory for snow...which is now in effect until
4 AM MST Friday.
* AFFECTED AREA...The Wasatch and western Uinta Mountains, Wasatch
Plateau and Book Cliffs, and the Central Utah mountains.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Storm totals of 12 to 24 inches...except
8 to 16 inches across the central mountain.
* TIMING...Snow will continue, heavy at times, across the
Wasatch, western Uintas, and Wasatch Plateau and Book Cliffs
overnight while developing across the central mountains. This
snow will decrease in intensity Wednesday morning, but will
pick up again Wednesday afternoon, continuing at times through
Thursday before tapering off Thursday night.
* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions can be expected along all
mountain routes at times tonight through Thursday.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snow accumulations
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads. Use caution while driving.
