SATURDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...THE SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL VALLEYS...THE
SEVIER AND SANPETE VALLEYS AND THE GREAT SALT LAKE DESERT AND
MOUNTAINS OF NORTHWEST UTAH.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...GENERALLY 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY
GREATER AMOUNTS ALONG THE I-15 CORRIDOR THROUGH WEST CENTRAL
AND SOUTHWEST UTAH.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL EXPAND NORTH ACROSS THE ENTIRE ADVISORY AREA
AFTER MIDNIGHT. SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. LINGERING SNOW SHOWERS
SATURDAY AFTERNOON WILL PRODUCE LITTLE ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION.

* WINDS...GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS AT THE ONSET OF SNOW WILL
DIMINISH AS SNOW INTENSITIES INCREASE OVERNIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL IMPACTS ARE ANTICIPATED ALONG THE
MAJOR TRANSPORTATION CORRIDORS...INCLUDING I-15 AND I-80 ALONG
WITH HIGHWAYS 6...50...AND 89. THE GREATEST IMPACTS WILL BE
ALONG I-15 FROM THE I-70 JUNCTION SOUTH TO THE CEDAR CITY AREA.

SATURDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH FRONT FROM THE IDAHO BORDER SOUTH
TO THE NEPHI AREA...THE CACHE VALLEY...AND THE WASATCH
MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...GENERALLY 2 TO 5 INCHES ALONG THE WASATCH
FRONT WITH THE GREATEST ACCUMULATIONS ALONG THE BENCHES AND
FROM THE SALT LAKE CITY AREA SOUTH. FOR THE CACHE VALLEY
ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 1 AND 4 INCHES. THE WASATCH
MOUNTAIN VALLEYS WILL SEE BETWEEN 2 AND 6 INCHES.

* TIMING...ACCUMULATING SNOWS WILL BEGIN AFTER MIDNIGHT AND
CONTINUE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL
GRADUALLY TAPER OFF SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL IMPACTS ARE ANTICIPATED FOR LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. ROAD SURFACES INITIALLY WILL
REMAIN WET...FOLLOWED BY ACCUMULATING SNOWS BY LATE TONIGHT AND
CONTINUING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. ROAD SURFACE IN THE CACHE
VALLEY AND THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS MAY SEE ROAD SNOW
THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 12 INCHES WITH LOCALLY GREATER
AMOUNTS MAINLY THROUGH THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND THE SOUTHERN
WASATCH RANGE.

* TIMING...SNOW CURRENTLY OVER THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS WILL EXPAND
ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE ADVISORY AREAS LATER TONIGHT.
SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY
AFTERNOON...THEN GRADUALLY TAPER OFF LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING.

* WINDS...GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH THIS EVENING
WILL DECREASE AND BECOME MORE WESTERLY LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY.

* IMPACTS...WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL EXIST ON ALL MOUNTAIN
ROADS WITHIN THE ADVISORY AREA. SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL IMPACTS
WILL BEGIN OVER THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS THIS EVENING...THEN
EXPAND TO COVER ALL ROUTES BY LATE TONIGHT. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST INTO SATURDAY EVENING.
