...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM MST THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for snow...which is in effect until 4 AM
MST Thursday.

* AFFECTED AREA...West Central and Southwest Utah, the Southern
Mountains, along with the Sanpete and Sevier Valleys.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Valley accumulation of 1 to 4 inches with
locally higher amounts along the I-15 corridor. For the Southern
Mountains, 3 to 6 inches are expected.

* TIMING...Band of moderate to heavy snow will cross the area this
from northwest to southeast this evening, with snow tapering off
overnight.

* SNOW LEVELS...Quickly falling to the valley floors this evening.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions including snow covered roads
and reduced visibility can be expected along all area roadways
this evening, particularly along the I-15 corridor.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snow accumulations
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads. Use caution while driving.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Storm totals of 18 to 36 inches...except 8
to 16 inches across the central mountains.

* TIMING...Snow will increase and become heavy at times this
evening, then continue overnight through the day Thursday. Snow
is expected to taper off Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions including snow covered roads
and reduced visibility can be expected along all mountain routes
at times through Thursday night.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect until noon
MST Thursday.

* AFFECTED AREA...The Wasatch Front and Wasatch Mountain Valleys,
along with the Cache Valley.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Generally 1 to 4 inches on the valley floor
with 4 to 8 inches on the benches and Wasatch Back.

* TIMING...A period of snow is expected early this evening. Snow
may end for a time across much of the area late evening into the
overnight hours, before redeveloping late tonight, and
continuing through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions including snow covered roads
and reduced visibility can be expected across the area late
tonight through Thursday, likely impacting the morning commute.
Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time Thursday
morning.
