* Flash Flood Warning for...
Franklin County in northeastern Texas...
Wood County in northeastern Texas...
Northern Upshur County in northeastern Texas...
Morris County in northeastern Texas...
Titus County in northeastern Texas...
Camp County in northeastern Texas...
Southern Red River County in northeastern Texas...

* Until 530 PM CST

* At 127 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain that is beginning to move into the warned area. Grounds
remain saturated in wake of widespread heavy rains that have
already fallen since Tuesday. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Pleasant, Gilmer, Mineola, Pittsburg, Winnsboro, Hagansport,
Leesburg, Mount Vernon, Daingerfield, Quitman, Lone Star, Naples,
Hawkins, Omaha, Cason, Us 259 And I 30 Intersection, Scroggins,
Pleasant Grove, Rocky Branch and Hainesville.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches, with isolated
higher amounts, are possible in the warned area through late
afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

FOR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA, SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, MUCH
OF EAST AND NORTHEAST TEXAS, AND ADJACENT NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, southeast Oklahoma,
and northeast Texas, including the following areas, in
Arkansas, Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little
River, Miller, Nevada, Sevier, and Union. In northwest
Louisiana, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, and Webster. In
southeast Oklahoma, McCurtain. In northeast Texas, Bowie,
Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Red
River, Smith, Titus, Upshur, and Wood.

* Through this evening

* Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall with storms repeatedly
moving over the same areas that recently received amounts from
near four to near eight inches. This will result in rapid water
runoff due to the nearly saturated soils and high water levels
for area rivers, creeks and bayous, resulting in flash flooding
and flooding.

* Flash flooding of roads, low lying, and poor drainage areas
will be possible. If you encounter flash flooding while
driving your vehicle, remember to turn around, don't drown.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* At 845 AM Saturday the stage was 26.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 26.8 feet by
Sunday evening then begin falling.
* Impact...Expect the Texas 37 bridge to remain flooded and
closed through this weekend.

the White Oak Creek Near Talco, Texas.

* At 815 AM Saturday the stage was 18.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Forecast...Expect little change through Sunday morning as
White Oak Creek remains near 18.5 feet.
* Impact...at 19.0 feet...Expect considerable lowland flooding with
some secondary roadways inundated. Ranchers that have cattle and
equipment near the creek should move them to higher ground.
