* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE SUNDAY OVER EAST TEXAS
AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...AND SPREAD EAST NORTHEAST ACROSS
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS AND NORTH LOUISIANA SUNDAY INTO MONDAY.
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL OCCUR FROM THE STRONGER STORMS...
FALLING OVER ALREADY SATURATED GROUNDS FROM HEAVY RAINFALL THAT
HAS FALLEN IN THE LAST WEEK. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF TWO TO FOUR
INCHES...WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS...ARE EXPECTED. HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN INCREASED RUNOFF AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
FLASH FLOODING.

* LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
OF RAPIDLY RISING CREEKS...WILL BE MOST PRONE TO FLASH
FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
DO NOT CROSS MOVING WATER ON ROADWAYS...BRIDGES...AND LOW WATER
CROSSINGS.

* Flood stage is 22 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 28.5 feet by
Monday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...Minor lowland flooding.

* At 1015 AM Saturday The stage was 16.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Forecast...The creek will continue to fall to below flood stage by
sUNDAY evening.
* Impact...at 16.0 feet...Expect minor lowland flooding of creek
bottoms. Ranchers that may have cattle and equipment in the creek
bottoms should move them to higher ground.

the Sulphur River Below Talco. Texas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1015 AM Saturday the stage was 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 24.2 feet
by Sunday morning. Also the Sulphur River crested at 26.0 feet
during Friday morning.
* Impact...at 25.0 feet...Expect moderate flooding of lowland areas
with some secondary roadways closed. All cattle and equipment
nearby the river should be moved to higher ground.
