...LAKE WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT
* EVENT...A tight pressure gradient between surface low pressure
over the Plains and surface high pressure over the Southeast
States and Northern Gulf of Mexico will produce strong and gusty
Southerly winds of 15-20 MPH with higher gusts.
* TIMING...Through midnight CDT.
* IMPACT...Boaters should exercise caution on area lakes due to
rough chop conditions.
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to taking on
water, perhaps to the point of sinking or capsizing.
