...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 7 PM CDT TUESDAY...
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 10 AM to 7 PM CDT Tuesday.
* EVENT...A tightening pressure gradient across the Southern
Plains will result in increasing southerly winds on Tuesday
across much of the region.
* TIMING...Sustained winds near 15 mph with gusts as high as 30
mph will begin as early as 10 am on Tuesday across portions of
Northeast Texas. Remaining areas of the region will see these
increasing winds by late morning with these conditions
continuing through the afternoon hours.
* IMPACT...Boaters should exercise caution on area lakes due to
rough chop conditions.
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
