COUNTIES...AUSTIN...BRAZORIA...BRAZOS...BURLESON...CHAMBERS...
COLORADO...FORT BEND...GALVESTON...GRIMES...HARRIS...HOUSTON...
JACKSON...LIBERTY...MADISON...MATAGORDA...MONTGOMERY...POLK...
SAN JACINTO...TRINITY...WALKER...WALLER...WASHINGTON AND
WHARTON.

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT

* AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL CONTINUE TRACKING ACROSS NORTH
TEXAS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. AS OF 320 PM...TRAILING
THUNDERSTORMS EXTEND SOUTHWARD INTO THE HILL COUNTRY. THESE
STORMS SHOULD TRACK EASTWARD INTO PARTS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS THIS
EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. DUE TO THE TRAINING NATURE OF THESE
STORMS...AREAS OF HEAVY RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED. IT APPEARS THE
HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY BE ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 10
WHERE 1 TO 3 INCHES MAY BE OBSERVED...WITH LOCALIZED HIGHER
AMOUNTS. ALTHOUGH THERE IS CONSIDERABLE UNCERTAINTY...LOCATIONS
FURTHER SOUTH SHOULD SEE LESS ACCUMULATIONS. HOWEVER THE
POSSIBILITY OF FLASH FLOODING REMAINS SHOULD LOCALIZED HEAVY
AMOUNTS OCCUR...THEREFORE THIS REGION WILL ALSO REMAIN IN THE
WATCH.

* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 18.1 feet
by Tuesday morning.
* Impact...at 18.0 feet...Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be
completely inundated.

* At 8 PM Monday the stage was 40.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
* Forecast...The rise is expected to rise above flood stage overnight with a
continued rise to near 42.5 feet by Tuesday evening.
* At 41.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage
creating problems for cattle ranches and prison farms. Cattle should be removed
from low areas.
