The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening.

* EVENT...A tight pressure gradient will result in increasing
southerly winds across the region today. Sustained southerly
winds near 15 to 20 mph will become likely today with higher
gusts approaching 35 mph during the afternoon.

* TIMING...From 10 AM to 7 PM CDT Today. Strong southerly winds
may continue into the overnight hours across portions of the
region as well.

* IMPACT...Rough chop on area lakes will create hazardous
boating conditions.


A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
