...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of west central Texas, including the following
areas, Coke, Concho, Crockett, Fisher, Haskell, Irion, Jones,
Kimble, Menard, Nolan, Runnels, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton,
Taylor, and Tom Green.
* Through Thursday evening
* Rainfall amounts of 3 to 4 inches are possible. Isolated amounts
over 5 inches are possible, especially across the Interstate 10
Corridor between Ozona and Sonora. The heaviest rain should end
by Thursday evening.
* Heavy rainfall will lead to saturated soils and runoff that may
result in flooding of poor drainage and low lying
areas...creeks...and street flooding.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
