Collin TX-Grayson TX-
359 PM CDT TUE JUN 27 2017
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Northwestern Collin County in north central Texas...
Southeastern Grayson County in north central Texas...
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 358 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were
producing heavy rainfall across locations from Gunter to Van
Alstyne. One to two inches of rain has already fallen, and an
additional one inch will be possible over the next hour. Excessive
runoff from these thunderstorms will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Areas that are low lying or usually experience poor
drainage are most likely to experience flooding. This means some
low water crossings in the region may become impassable.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sherman, Anna, Celina, Van Alstyne, Howe, Gunter, Tom Bean,
Dorchester, Melissa, Weston, Luella and Westminster.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
