...COLDEST CONDITIONS SO FAR THIS WINTER ARRIVE FOR LATE WEEK...

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.

1. MUCH COLDER CONDITIONS FOR LATE THIS WEEK. HIGHS THURSDAY WILL
REMAIN IN THE 30S...WITH GUSTY WINDS DROPPING WIND CHILLS INTO
THE 20S. FRIDAY MORNING TEMPERATURES WILL DROP INTO THE UPPER
TEENS AND LOWER 20S.

2. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN OR LIGHT SNOW ON
THURSDAY...MAINLY SOUTH OF A STERLING CITY TO BROWNWOOD LINE. IF
SNOW DOES DEVELOP...NO ACCUMULATIONS WOULD BE EXPECTED AND TRAVEL
DIFFICULTIES ARE NOT ANTICIPATED.

3. THE VERY COLD CONDITIONS MAY THREATEN PIPES...PETS LEFT
OUTSIDE...SENSITIVE PLANTS...AND ANY PARTICULARLY COLD SENSITIVE
LIVESTOCK.

THE FIRST ARCTIC COLD FRONT OF THE SEASON WILL ARRIVE LATE
WEDNESDAY...WITH VERY COLD CONDITIONS ARRIVING FOR THURSDAY AND
FRIDAY. A WEAK UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM MAY BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE
OF LIGHT SNOW ACROSS PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS FOR THURSDAY.
CONFIDENCE IS LOW THAT ANY SNOW WILL DEVELOP AT ALL...AND IF IT
DID THE SNOW WOULD LIKELY BE SO LIGHT THAT IT WOULD NOT CAUSE
TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ACROSS THE AREA. THE COLDEST CONDITIONS WILL
OCCUR FRIDAY MORNING WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING INTO THE UPPER
TEENS AND LOWER 20S FOR MOST AREAS.
