FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR the entire Texas
South Plains...Rolling Plains...and extreme southern Texas
The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon Sunday to 7 AM CDT Monday.
The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Wind...Out of the west generally at 25 to 35 mph with gusts to
* Humidity...Between 5 and 15 percent.
* Fuels...Are critically dry.
* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged. Low visibility will be possible due to
dust and smoke and could limit fire detection capabilities.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are imminent. These conditions can create rapid wildfire growth
that will make containment extremely difficult.

Tulia, Happy, Silverton, Quitaque, Turkey, Memphis, Childress,
Kirkland, Muleshoe, Littlefield, Amherst, Olton, Plainview,

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM SUNDAY TO 7 AM CDT MONDAY...
The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 2 PM Sunday to 7 AM CDT Monday.
* TIMING...Strong west winds will develop early Sunday afternoon
and are expected to continue on and off through Sunday night as
a strong storm crosses the Texas Panhandle into western
* WINDS...Generally westerly from 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55
* IMPACTS...Areas of blowing dust will limit visibilities at times
to 3 to 5 miles...and locally less than a mile along open
fields. Cross winds and strong wind gusts will be hazardous to

expected. Adjust travel and outdoor activities accordingly.
