SHERMAN TO DALLAS TO HILLSBORO TO LAMPASAS.

* UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING

* AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE TRACKS ACROSS THE REGION...
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL WILL OCCUR. THE SOIL
IS ALREADY SATURATED...SO ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.

* AVERAGE RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS IS
EXPECTED THROUGH THIS EVENING.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Warning for
The Navasota River Above Groesbeck.
* until Wednesday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0415 PM Monday the stage was 6.26 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river should rise above flood stage by Monday
evening and continue to rise to a crest near 11 feet by Tuesday
morning. The river should fall below flood stage by Wednesday after
midnight.
* At 12 feet, Moderate overbank flow is expected along the east bank.
