The flood warning continues for
the Sandies Creek Near Westhoff.
* At 9:15 AM Wednesday the stage was 23.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 23.3 feet by this afternoon.
The river will fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet...Major lowland flooding from the headwaters southeast
of Seguin to the Guadalupe River confluence near Cuero. The flow is over one
half mile wide. Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned in low areas of
the flood plain. Roads and low bridges near the creek are flooded and
impassable..

The flood warning continues for
the Guadalupe River Near Cuero.
* At 9:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 30.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 40.3 feet by Thursday
afternoon. The river will maintain a level near 40 feet until Fridy Morning
when it will begin falling.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet...Massive flooding is occurring in the River Oaks, River
Haven, and Cypress Valley subdivisions ten miles south of Cuero near
Thomaston. Over one hundred homes are flooded up to nine feet requiring the
evacuation of hundreds of people. All roads into Cuero are closed except
Highway 87 which also closes several miles south of Cuero. The old CP&L plant
floods. Hundreds of livestock in the area are cut off and potentially drowned.
Flow threatens to pass across the flood plain into Gholke Creek and Cuero..
