* AT 1217 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED
THAT UP TO TEN INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER PARTS OF KENDALL AND
BLANCO COUNTIES. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TOTALS OF TWO TO SIX INCHES
HAS FALLEN OVER THE WARNED AREA. ANOTHER LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAINFALL IS FORECAST TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA OVER THE
NEXT SIX HOURS...LIKELY PRODUCING AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO THREE
INCHES OF RAIN. WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING IS OCCURRING...SO ANY
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL COULD PRODUCE CATASTROPHIC FLASH FLOODING.

* A PORTION OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
AREAS...ATASCOSA...BANDERA...BASTROP...BEXAR...BLANCO...
BURNET...CALDWELL...COMAL...DE WITT...FAYETTE...FRIO...
GILLESPIE...GONZALES...GUADALUPE...HAYS...KARNES...KENDALL...
KERR...LAVACA...LEE...LLANO...MEDINA...REAL...TRAVIS...
UVALDE...WILLIAMSON AND WILSON.

* THROUGH 7 PM THIS EVENING

* ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL MOVE
ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS PRODUCING ADDITIONAL RAINFALL TOTALS
OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH ISOLATED ADDITIONAL TOTALS TO 4 INCHES
POSSIBLE.

* DUE TO THE VERY MOIST CONDITIONS OF THE GROUNDS AND SOILS IN THE
AREA...RAPID FLASH FLOODING OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND SOME
ROADWAYS WILL BE POSSIBLE WHERE HEAVY RAINS DEVELOP. AREA RIVERS
AND STREAMS ARE ALSO OUT OF BANKS OR IN FLOOD. SOME OF THESE
RIVERS AND STREAMS WILL REACH THEIR FLOOD STAGES VERY QUICKLY.

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flood Warning for the Hondo Creek At King Waterhole Hhondo Creek at Hwy 173.
* until Sunday afternoon...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 11:00 PM Saturday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The creek level will rise above flood stage by very early Sunday morning
and continue to rise to near 12.6 feet during the early morning hours on Sunday. The
creek level will fall below flood stage by after midnight Sunday.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding inundates Farm to Market 462 at
several low crossings over Hondo Creek..

...Forecast flooding increased from Minor to Major severity...
The flood warning continues for the Seco Creek at Rowe Ranch Near D'hanis.
* from early this morning to this afternoon...or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 12:15 AM Sunday the stage was 22.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The creek level will rise to near 23.2 feet by around 1am Sunday
morning. The creek level will fall below flood stage early Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet...Major flooding causes Seco Creek alone (without Parker
Creek) to approach homes in D'Hanis. If Parker and Seco Creeks are flooding,
all of D'Hanis may be under water and several feet deep in homes in the west
part. Highway 90 is severly flooded..
* FLOOD HISTORY...THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST OF 23.5 feet on Jun 3
1987.
