The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a Fire Weather
Watch, which is in effect Friday afternoon.

* 20-FOOT WIND...20 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY...8 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible

Advisory, which is in effect until 5 PM MST this afternoon.

* TIMING...winds will remain strong through around 8 PM tonight.

* WINDS...winds will have sustained speeds of 30 to 35 mph with
gusts up to 45 mph...especially along the eastern facing
slopes.

* VISIBILITY...visibility will occasionally drop to around 1 mile
or less in pockets of dense blowing dust.

* Impacts...blowing dust could make difficult and even dangerous
driving conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
