...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES...AUSTIN...BRAZORIA...BRAZOS...BURLESON...CHAMBERS...
COLORADO...FORT BEND...GALVESTON...GRIMES...HARRIS...HOUSTON...
JACKSON...LIBERTY...MADISON...MATAGORDA...MONTGOMERY...POLK...
SAN JACINTO...TRINITY...WALKER...WALLER...WASHINGTON AND
WHARTON.

* FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING

* AT LEAST TWO ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH
SOUTHEAST TEXAS IN ASSOCIATION WITH A PAIR OF UPPER DISTURBANCES.
THE FIRST ROUND IS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. THE SECOND
ROUND SHOULD MOVE THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT. PERIODS OF
PRECIPITATION ARE EXPECTED BETWEEN THE TWO DISTURBANCES AS WELL.

TOTAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN NOW AND TUESDAY WILL
LIKELY RANGE BETWEEN 2 TO 5 INCHES ACROSS MOST OF SOUTHEAST
TEXAS. HOWEVER...DUE TO THE HIGH POTENTIAL FOR TRAINING RAINS
AND A FAVORABLE UPPER LEVEL PATTERN...ISOLATED TOTALS OF
7 TO 11 INCHES ARE VERY POSSIBLE. LOCALIZED...BUT POSSIBLE.

* IMPACTS...WITH THE GROUND ACROSS THE AREA SATURATED AND THE
LARGER RIVERS SWOLLEN FROM THE HEAVY RAINS OF THE LAST FEW WEEKS
THE THREAT OF FLASH FLOODING IS HIGH AS IS THE THREAT OF
MAINSTEM RIVER FLOODING. THE INTENSE RAIN RATES AND THE
LIKELIHOOD OF STORMS MOVING OVER THE SAME AREAS IN QUICK
SUCCESSION WILL PRODUCE STREET FLOODING. TIDE LEVELS ARE UP IN
GALVESTON BAY WHICH WILL CAUSE BAYOUS IN THE HOUSTON METRO AREA
TO DRAIN SLOWER THAN THEY OTHERWISE WOULD. OVER TIME SOME
RIVERS AND STREAMS MAY CLIMB OUT OF BANKS AND SIGNIFICANT MAJOR
FLOODING IS A POSSIBILITY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
