THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LEAGUE CITY HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL HARRIS COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS...

* UNTIL 445 PM CDT TUESDAY

* THE AREAL FLOOD WARNING FOR THE ADDICKS RESERVOIR AREA IS NOW IN
EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON. WATER LEVELS IN AND AROUND THE
RESERVOIR CONTINUE TO SLOWLY RECEDE...BUT POOL ELEVATION IS STILL
ABOVE STREETS IN THE BEAR CREEK VILLAGE AREA. IF ANY HEAVY RAINFALL
MOVES INTO THE REGION SURROUNDING THE RESERVOIR...THE POOL AREA
WOULD LIKELY EXPAND AND COULD FLOOD MORE ROADS AND RISE INTO
HOMES. PERSONS AROUND THE RESERVOIR SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE
WEATHER AND BE PREPARED FOR FLOODING IF HEAVY RAINS MATERIALIZE
AROUND AND UPSTREAM FROM THE RESERVOIR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. ALL
INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY.

The East Fork San Jacinto Near New Caney
* until Wednesday evening...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0900 AM Monday the stage was 20.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 21.1 feet by late this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning.
* At 21.0 feet...Major lowland flooding begin as water inundates FM 1485 on
right bank of river.
