...SNOW POSSIBLE ON THANKSGIVING MORNING FOR PARTS OF MIDDLE TN...

COLD AIR AND MOISTURE ARE EXPECTED TO COMBINE TO BRING SNOW TO
PORTIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE AS A CANADIAN CLIPPER DIGS INTO THE
OHIO AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS TONIGHT.

AS EARLY AS 9 PM THIS EVENING TEMPERATURES SHOULD BECOME COLD
ENOUGH TO CHANGE LIGHT RAIN OVER TO SNOW FOR SOME AREAS NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 40...AS WELL AS HIGHER ELEVATIONS ON THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO FALL OVERNIGHT AND AS THEY
DO...MANY AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40 AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 65
MAY EXPERIENCE SOME SNOWFALL. THE GREATEST AREAS OF ACCUMULATION
WILL LIKELY BE COUNTIES ALONG THE KENTUCKY STATE LINE...WHERE UP
TO ONE HALF INCH IS POSSIBLE...AND THE UPPER CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU...WHERE UP TO ONE INCH IS POSSIBLE.

CONFIDENCE IS INCREASING FOR THIS SNOWFALL POTENTIAL TO OCCUR BUT
AMOUNTS MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE OR A LITTLE LESS DEPENDING ON
IF AND WHERE ANY PRECIPITATION BANDING OCCURS.

WITH THIS SNOWFALL EXPECTED ON ONE OF THE BUSIEST TRAVEL DAYS OF
THE YEAR...SOME TRAVEL IMPACTS MAY OCCUR THROUGH 9 AM THURSDAY
MORNING WHEN TEMPERATURES CLIMB FAR ENOUGH ABOVE FREEZING TO
FACILITATE SNOWMELT. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER TODAY AND THIS
EVENING FOR THE LATEST ON THIS WINTER WEATHER POTENTIAL.
