At 358 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Parrottsville to 12 miles south of Newport
to 6 miles southwest of Gatlinburg to 9 miles north of Fontana Lake
to 15 miles east of Madisonville to 8 miles east of Etowah. Movement
was east at 45 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Johnson City, Greeneville, Sevierville, Elizabethton, Newport, Erwin,
Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Tusculum, Parrottsville, Banner Hill, Pine
Crest, Hampton, Midway, Reese, Unicoi, Pittman Center, Townsend,
Caney Branch and Limestone.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Tennessee.
