* THROUGH 1030 AM MDT...OVER 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER THE
CENTRAL BLACK HILLS. SPRING CREEK BELOW SHERIDAN LAKE IS
RISING...WITH STREAM GAUGES SHOWING SPRING CREEK NEAR ROCKERVILLE
IS APPROACHING FLOOD STAGE. STREAM LEVELS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE
THROUGH THE DAY...AND INCREASE DOWNSTREAM TO THE CHEYENNE RIVER.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
ROCKERVILLE...AND FOLSOM.

AT 345 PM MDT...RAPID VALLEY FIRE FIGHTERS REPORTED WATER OVER
RESERVOIR ROAD SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 44 AND WATER IS ALMOST OVER SOUTH
VALLEY DRIVE NEAR SAINT PATRICK STREET. RAPID CREEK IS OUT OF ITS
BANKS THROUGH PARTS OF RAPID CITY...AND COVERING THE BIKE PATH IN
MANY AREAS.

1.0 TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN UPSTREAM OF RAPID CITY...WITH
A SPOTTER REPORTING 3 INCHES OF RAIN AT HISEGA. WHILE THE RAINFALL
RATE HAS DIMINISHED...ANOTHER 0.5 TO 0.75 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE
IN THE RAPID CREEK BASIN...SO STREAM LEVELS WILL REMAIN HIGH.

SIDING...HISEGA...RAPID CITY...RAPID VALLEY...CAPUTA...AND
FARMINGDALE. STREET FLOODING IS ALSO POSSIBLE THROUGH RAPID CITY.

NEVER DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. JUST ONE
FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE
ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN

CUSTER COUNTY PLAINS...FALL RIVER...HERMOSA FOOT HILLS... NORTHERN
BLACK HILLS...NORTHERN FOOT HILLS...PENNINGTON COUNTY PLAINS...
RAPID CITY...SHANNON...SOUTHERN BLACK HILLS...SOUTHERN FOOT
HILLS...SOUTHERN MEADE COUNTY PLAINS AND STURGIS/PIEDMONT FOOT
HILLS. IN NORTHEAST WYOMING...SOUTHERN CAMPBELL AND WYOMING

* THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

* STORM TOTAL RAINFALL OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
MUCH OF THE BLACK HILLS. SOME AREAS ALONG THE EASTERN SLOPES OF
THE BLACK HILLS...COULD RECEIVE AS MUCH AS 3 INCHES OF RAIN BY
MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* SOILS ARE SATURATED AND CREEKS AND STREAMS IN MANY LOCATIONS ARE
STILL RUNNING HIGH FROM RECENT STORMS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE
EASTERN SLOPES OF THE BLACK HILLS AND OVER SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH
DAKOTA. THE ADDITIONAL RAIN MAY CAUSE MORE FLOODING IN THOSE
AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ALONG RIVERS AND
CREEKS IN THE WATCH AREA...BUT IS NOT IMMINENT. IF YOU ARE IN THE
WATCH AREA...TAKE TIME TO MOVE LIVESTOCK...EQUIPMENT...AND OTHER
PROPERTY FROM LOW LYING AREAS BEFORE FLOODING OCCURS. MONITOR
NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATED FORECASTS AND BE
READY TO QUICKLY MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF RISING WATER LEVELS ARE
OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
