* AT 606 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
HEAVY RAIN OCCURRING ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM MOUNT PLEASANT
TOWNE CENTRE TO 16 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ISLE OF PALMS...OR ALONG A
LINE EXTENDING FROM MOUNT PLEASANT TO 18 MILES SOUTHEAST OF FORT
SUMTER. THE AREA OF HEAVY RAIN WAS MOVING NORTHWEST AT 5 TO 10 MPH.

A QUICK 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL
BE POSSIBLE THROUGH 745 PM AS BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN MOVE INLAND
FROM OFF THE ATLANTIC. BE ALERT FOR AREAS OF FLOODING...ESPECIALLY
NEAR LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

AREA ROADS AND IN LOW SPOTS. SLOW DOWN TO REDUCE THE RISK OF
HYDROPLANING. IF WATER COVERS THE ENTIRE ROADWAY OR IS FLOWING...FIND
ANOTHER ROUTE. THE WATER IS PROBABLY MUCH DEEPER THAN IT APPEARS AND
ONLY ONE FOOT OF WATER CAN STALL A VEHICLE. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
