AT 748 PM EDT RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE AN AREA OF HEAVY RAIN
ACROSS CENTRAL FLORENCE COUNTY...EXTENDING FROM EVERGREEN AND NEW
HOPE...SOUTHWARD THROUGH COWARD...SCRANTON...AND NEAR LAKE CITY.

RAINFALL RATES OVER TWO INCHES PER HOUR WERE INDICATED BY RADAR.
THIS IS SUFFICIENT TO CREATE MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS...HIGHWAY INTERSECTIONS...AND PARKING LOTS.

* AT 811 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED SLOW MOVING HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUES
ACROSS SOUTHERN FLORENCE COUNTY. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WAS
CENTERED FROM THE COMMUNITY OF COWARD SOUTHWARD ALONG HIGHWAY 52
INTO SCRANTON AND LAKE CITY...WHERE UP TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN IS
ESTIMATED TO HAVE FALLEN IN THE PAST 90 MINUTES.

* LOCATIONS IN THE ADVISORY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO NEW
HOPE...COWARD...LAKE CITY...SCRANTON...EFFINGHAM...EVERGREEN AND
FRIENDFIELD.

SLOW MOVING HEAVY RAINFALL WILL SLOWLY MOVE EAST ACROSS THE HIGHWAY
52 CORRIDOR NEAR SCRANTON AND LAKE CITY OVER THE NEXT HOUR.
