WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING. THE
WINTER STORM WARNING IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...BLOCK ISLAND.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY WET SNOW AND STRONG WINDS WILL LIKELY
RESULT IN TREE DAMAGE AND SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES. STRONG WINDS
AND HEAVY SNOW WILL CREATE BLIZZARD/WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS AT
TIMES.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 8 INCHES.

* TIMING...RAIN AND SNOW OVERSPREAD THE REGION BY 5 AM. MIXED
PRECIPITATION WILL QUICKLY CHANGE TO ALL SNOW AND FALL HEAVY AT
TIMES THROUGH THE MID AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL COME TO
AN END EARLY THIS EVENING...BUT AREAS OF LIGHT SNOW WILL
CONTINUE INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* IMPACTS...CONSIDERABLE FALLING AND/OR BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
VISIBILITIES WILL BECOME POOR WITH WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES.
THOSE VENTURING OUTDOORS MAY BECOME LOST OR DISORIENTED... SO
PERSONS IN THE WARNING AREA ARE ADVISED TO STAY INDOORS.
SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE ALSO EXPECTED AT
TIMES THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. HEAVY WET SNOW AND STRONG WINDS

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 10 INCHES.

* TIMING...SNOW OVERSPREADS THE REGION FROM SOUTH TO NORTH BETWEEN
6 AND 9 AM. THE SNOW BECOMES HEAVY AT TIMES THEREAFTER INTO THE
MID TO LATE AFTERNOON. SNOW INTENSITY SHOULD DIMINISH BY EARLY
EVENING...BUT VERY LOCALIZED BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW
MAY PERSIST ALONG THE NORTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS COAST INTO THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS.
