...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
areas, Lancaster and York.
* Through Thursday afternoon
* Significant ice buildup remains downstream of York Haven. With
the recent rainfall, an increase in river flow is expected
over the next couple days, and flooding from ice jams is
possible along and close to the Susquehanna River below York
* Minor flooding is possible along Lake Clarke, primarily on the
York County side. The affected area includes Long Level Road
(State Route 624) from Klines Run Road to and including
Fishing Creek Road. Other areas of concern include North Front
Street near the Wrightsville Borough and Hellam Township line,
and River Drive near Accomac in York County.
Obey all road closure signs, they are there for your safety. Do
not attempt to drive through flooded areas, most flood deaths
occur in automobiles. Turn around, don't drown!
