...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST MONDAY...

* LOCATIONS...THE WYOMING AND LACKAWANNA VALLEYS OF NORTHEAST
PENNSYLVANIA...INCLUDING THE WILKES-BARRE SCRANTON METRO AREA...AS
WELL AS ADJACENT SECTIONS OF THE POCONO PLATEAU.

* HAZARDS...HEAVY SNOW...AS WELL AS THE POTENTIAL FOR A PERIOD
OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 6 TO 10 INCHES...WITH
THE METRO VALLEYS LIKELY CLOSER TO 6 INCHES...AND THE HIGHER
TERRAIN OF THE POCONO PLATEAU LIKELY CLOSER TO 10 INCHES. A
TENTH TO A QUARTER OF AN INCH OF ICE ACCRETION MAY ALSO OCCUR IN
SOME AREAS...MAINLY SOUTH AND EAST OF WILKES-BARRE AND
SCRANTON...AND ALSO ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 84.

* TIMING...STEADY LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION DURING THE
LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS...GENERALLY BETWEEN 4 AND
8 PM. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
EARLY MONDAY AFTERNOON...WHEN SNOWFALL RATES COULD OCCASIONALLY
REACH 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR. FOR AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 84...SNOW SHOULD CHANGE OVER TO SLEET AND FREEZING
RAIN FOR A TIME EARLY MONDAY MORNING. THE MOST LIKELY TIME FRAME
FOR THIS CHANGE OVER WILL BE FROM ABOUT 4 TO 10 AM. ANY MIXED
PRECIPITATION SHOULD BECOME ALL SNOW AGAIN BY EARLY MONDAY
AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF BY MID TO LATE
AFTERNOON.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE 20S TO LOWER 30S...THEN FALLING MONDAY
AFTERNOON...PERHAPS INTO THE TEENS BY LATE IN THE DAY.

* WINDS...EAST 5 TO 15 MPH...WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SLIPPERY TRAVEL CONDITIONS FROM SNOW COVERED ROADS
AND WALKWAYS.
