* AT 1011 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR WAS SHOWING THUNDERSTORMS WITH
HEAVY RAIN OVER EASTERN CARBON AND WESTERN MONROE COUNTIES.
AUTOMATED GAGES WERE SHOWING RAINFALL AMOUNTS EXCEEDING
ONE INCH IN AN HOUR. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS LIKELY IN THE
ADVISORY AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

OF LEHIGHTON TO 12 MILES NORTH OF ALLENTOWN TO 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
ALLENTOWN...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
NEAR ALLENTOWN AROUND 1030 PM...COPLAY...NORTHAMPTON AROUND 1045
PM...KRESGEVILLE...ANALOMINK AROUND 1100 PM...MARSHALLS
CREEK...WERRY LAKE AROUND 1115 PM...ANALOMINK AND ANALOMINK AROUND

VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL FALL FROM THESE STORMS...AND WILL CAUSE WATER TO
POND ON ROADS AND QUICKLY FILL POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. HALF AN INCH TO
ONE INCH OF RAIN CAN FALL WITHIN AN HOUR WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS.
