At 1030 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain which will
combine with snowmelt to cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Doppler radar indicates rainfall amounts of
around 1 inch have already fallen in parts of the advisory area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, Walla Walla, Hermiston, Boardman, Dayton,
College Place, Umatilla, Stanfield, Irrigon, Waitsburg, Echo,
Prescott, Kahlotus, Starbuck, West Pasco, Huntsville, Snake River and
Additional rainfall of up to 1 inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain will cause minor flooding. Use caution as some
county roads may be undermined or washed out.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots. Always obey road closures and barriers. Remember, turn around

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST WEDNESDAY...
The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for heavy snow...which is in effect until 4 AM
* LOCATIONS...Meacham, Tollgate and Ski Bluewood.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 to 5 inches between 3500 to 4500 feet. 4
to 8 inches above 4500 feet.
* TIMING...Periods of snow showers will continue this
afternoon...evening and into tonight. Some of the snow could be
heavy at times. The snow showers should end prior to daybreak
* IMPACTS...Roads will become snow covered and slick. Heavier snow
showers may reduce visibility under one half mile at times.
Interstate 84 near Meacham and Cabbage Hill will be impacted,
along with highway 204 near Tollgate.
* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 20s to mid 30s.
* SNOW LEVEL...3500 feet lowering to below 3000 feet overnight.
