TUESDAY...

* Locations include: All inland valleys.

* Impacts: Limited ventilation will result in stagnant air that
is expected to result in degraded air quality. This degraded
air quality may pose a risk to those working outside and to
those with sensitive health issues.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area, pollution will increase.

Including the cities of Crater Lake, Crescent Lake, Diamond Lake,
Union Creek, Howard Prairie, and Siskiyou Summit

A snowstorm will likely be bringing advisory level snows to most
of the Cascades and Siskiyous. This includes portions of
Interstate 5 at Siskiyou Summit, Crater Lake, Mt. Ashland, and
Diamond Lake. Snow amounts at Siskiyou Summit are expected to be
between 3 to 6 inches. In the Cascades, amounts of 8 to 12 inches
with locally higher amounts of up to 15 inches possible. This
could create travel difficulties for those traveling in those
areas.

A snowstorm may bring accumulating snow to elevations above 1000
feet on Tuesday night and Wednesday. This will include the passes
along Interstate 5 between Grants Pass and Roseburg where 2 to 4
inches is possible. Additionally, the Illinois Valley and Highway
199 could see 1 to 3 inches of snow. This could create travel
difficulties for those traveling in those areas.

...WINTER STORM WATCH ABOVE 2000 FEET IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow above 2000 feet possible. Total snow
accumulations 3 to 6 inches inches with localized amounts up to
10 inches are possible.

* WHERE...Highway 140 east of White City. Highway 62 between
Shady Cove and Union Creek. State Route 227 south of Tiller.
Highway 138 in the eastern Douglas County Foothills near Toketee
Falls.

* WHEN...Heaviest snow will fall Tuesday afternoon through
Wednesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Slippery snow covered roads and reduced
visibilities will be possible. Plan on difficult travel
conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* Stock emergency kit with tire chains, flashlight, batteries,
blankets, food, water, and medications.

* The safest place during a winter storm is indoors.

* Plan now to avoid traveling during the storm.

* A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow accumulations that may create dangerous travel.
