* Until 330 AM CST Saturday

* At 832 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain
across the warned area. Rainfall totals of one to two inches have
fallen across the warned area today. Public reports minor flooding
ongoing across Benton County Arkansas. Additional flash flooding
is expected to become more widespread.

Additional rainfall amounts around one inch are possible in the
warned area through the early morning hours on Saturday.

This includes the following highways,
Interstate 40 in Oklahoma between mile markers 291 and 306.
Interstate 44 between mile markers 323 and 324.
Interstate 49 between mile markers 47 and 84, and between mile
markers 86 and 93.


In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Illinois River near Watts
* from early this morning to Sunday evening, or until the warning is
* At 12:00 AM Saturday, the stage was 7.58 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Illinois River near Watts is expected to rise above
flood stage early this morning and continue to rise to near 20.4
feet by this evening. The river is expected to fall below flood
stage Sunday afternoon.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, severe flooding occurs from the Arkansas
border to Fidler's Bend. Water will reach the base of the building
at River Valley Raceway. Farmlands and permanent camgrounds are
inundated. Numerous cabins in the Fidler's Bend area are flooded.
Extreme turbulence makes the river too hazardous for floating.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Illinois River at Chewey
* from this afternoon to late Sunday night, or until the warning is
* At 12:15 AM Saturday, the stage was 7.45 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Illinois River at Chewey is expected to rise above
flood stage this afternoon and continue to rise to near 17.8 feet
by Sunday before dawn. The river is expected to fall below flood
stage late Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, moderate flooding occurs from near Fidler's
Bend to near Hanging Rock. Farmlands and permanent campgrounds are
affected. Several cabins in the Fidler's Bend area may be flooded.
Livestock is threatened. Access roads near the river are cut off.
Roads near Hanging Rock are impacted. Extreme turbulence makes the
river too hazardous for floating.

* Portions of Arkansas and Oklahoma...including the following Arkansas...Benton...Carroll...Crawford...
Franklin...Madison...Sebastian and Washington AR. in
Latimer...Le Flore...McIntosh...Muskogee...Ottawa...
Pittsburg...Pushmataha and Sequoyah.

* Through Saturday afternoon

* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be common across the
watch area, with locally higher amounts possible.

* This will likely lead to flooding of some low lying areas.
Additional rainfall on top of recent rains will increase the
potential for flash flooding and also some river flooding


A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. Drainage ditches, creeks, low water crossings
and other low lying areas are prone to rises and may flood. Most
flood related deaths occur in automobiles and flooding is the
leading cause of weather related deaths.
