Northeastern Stephens County in southern Oklahoma...
Southwestern Pontotoc County in east central Oklahoma...
Northwestern Carter County in southern Oklahoma...
Murray County in southern Oklahoma...

* Until 215 AM CDT

* At 1008 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is occurring or is imminent.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sulphur, Davis, Wynnewood, Roff, Elmore City, Katie, Mill Creek,
Fitzhugh, Dougherty, Foster, Tatums, Ratliff City, Hickory,
Pooleville, Lake Of The Arbuckles, Turner Falls, Hennepin, Scullin
and Pernell.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen across portions of the warned area. Flash flooding
is occurring or is imminent.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Atoka, Wapanucka, Lehigh, Tushka, Caney, Bromide, Pontotoc,
Clarita, Lane, Olney, Fillmore, Reagan, Connerville, Daisy,
Coleman, Bentley, McGee Creek Lake, Boggy Depot Park and Darwin.

SUNDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Watch for flash flooding...flooding of creeks and
rivers...and flooding of low lying areas for portions of east
central Oklahoma, southeast Oklahoma, and southern Oklahoma,
including the following areas, in east central Oklahoma,
Pontotoc. In southeast Oklahoma, Atoka, Bryan, Coal, Hughes,
Johnston, and Marshall. In southern Oklahoma, Carter, Garvin,
Love, and Murray.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday morning

* Areas of 1 to 3 inches of rain are expected across parts of
southern Oklahoma overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
